* Until 1215 AM EDT.
* At 1143 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles
southeast of Brandenburg, moving northeast at 65 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR FORT KNOX and METRO LOUISVILLE.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Louisville, Jeffersonville, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively,
Shepherdsville, Pioneer Village, Audubon Park, West Buechel, and
Watterson Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
