Surf Zone Forecast

National Weather Service Tallahassee FL

1205 PM EDT Tue Jun 10 2025

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Offshore buoys late this morning were reporting a south-southwest wave

direction, with seas of 2 feet, at 4 or 5 seconds. As offshore winds

decrease over the next 24 hours, the trend is enough to cut back the

rip current risk along Emerald Coast beaches to Moderate. A further

decrease in surf heights on Wednesday should be enough to lower the

rip risk at all area beaches into the Moderate category for Wednesday

and Thursday.

Based on communication with area beach officials, the following flags

are flying at area beaches:

Walton........................Yellow

Bay...........................Yellow

State Park Gulf Beaches.......Double Red

West Facing Gulf Beaches......Double Red

South Facing Gulf Beaches.....Red
