Mississippi River At Vicksburg affecting Madison, Claiborne,

Jefferson, Tensas and Warren Counties.

Mississippi River At Natchez affecting Adams, Wilkinson and

Concordia Counties.

Mississippi River Near Greenville affecting East Carroll,

Washington, Issaquena and Chicot Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive

cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Arkansas City.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 37.0 feet, The low silt plain in front of Arkansas

City inside the levee system begins to flood along with widespread

bottomland flooding at Huntington Point, Mississippi.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 37.5 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage

just after midnight tonight and continue falling to 14.3 feet

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive

rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following

county, Tuscaloosa.

* WHEN...Until 1130 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 822 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to

thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream

flooding. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen

over the last 3 hours. Additional rainfall will lead to at

least localized flooding.

- Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Tuscaloosa, Northport, Holt, Moundville, Lake View,

Brookwood, Coaling, Vance, Coker, University Mall, Bryant

Denny Stadium, McFarland Mall, Tuscaloosa Amphitheater,

Deerlick Creek Campgrounds, Tuscaloosa Regional Airport,

Shelton State Community College, Lake Wildwood, Lake Lurleen

State Park, Binion Creek Landing and Mercedes Benz Of

Alabama.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Baton Rouge.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday, May 14.

* IMPACTS...At 43.0 feet, Shipping and industrial activities are

significantly affected. Unprotected low-lying areas will be

flooded and agricultural operations will be impacted on the west

side of the river. The city of Baton Rouge is protected by levees

at this level.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 6:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 42.0 feet.

- Bankfull stage is 29.0 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 42.1

feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below

flood stage Tuesday, May 13.

forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.

* WHEN...Until Monday, May 19.

* IMPACTS...At 59.0 feet, The east bank levee will be topped and the

prison farm land between the two levees will be inundated. Angola

Landing will be under water closing the ferry there. All river

islands along the reach from Red River Landing to Baton Rouge will

remain inundated with recreational camps and river bottom farm

land under water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- At 6:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 59.3 feet.

- Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
